On the Eve of the DREAM Act Vote, Rallies and Vigils Across the Country
President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Majority leader Nancy Pelosi and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus leadership all agree on one thing for the lame duck session after Thanksgiving: we need to pass the federal DREAM Act now, so undocumented youth who have grown up in this country can finally serve in the armed forces and contribute to our coffers.
It’s not only the right thing to do — it is an economic benefit for the country and one step towards finding a solution to a broken immigration system.
The House is expected to take a vote this week, followed by the Senate. We have the House votes but lack the required 60 votes in the Senate.
Please, I urge you. It takes two minutes to sign the petition that could change the lives of so many. The goal is to reach 2,500 signatures. Please take a few minutes of your time to sign, we can’t do it without your help.
Please, everyone sign this petition!!

Even the Dark Lord is a Gleek..

despite the complacency my skin feels the instant your fingertips arrive, i still yearn for you. no amount of rainy nights, or unclenched fists, or soft lips can make up for how much i miss you when you’re gone. i spend an entire night dreaming about the next time i will see you and the moment you leave, i dream again. there is only one moment in the day when i realize that the love i give you is entirely selfless, and that your fucked up heart doesn’t deserve one piece of me. but it only lasts a second. my eyelids flutter, i crawl into bed, and i count the lines on my ceiling as i think of you.
